Rehana Sidat – Founder/CEO/Director – Jamila’s Legacy CIC
Mental Health Advocate/Trainer
I am a qualified and experienced manager, educator and health and wellbeing professional. I have more than 30 years of experience working with minority communities and vulnerable groups, such as disabled people, family carers, looked-after children, families affected by abuse and older people often experiencing mental health problems. I am also Co-Founder of Ansaar, a charity for adults with learning disabilities and family carers. Jamila’s Legacy, is a non-profit community organisation I set up in 2015 in memory of Jamila, a young woman who had severe mental health problems who became isolated because of the lack of understanding in the community and the mental health stigma that continues to exist in society.
