You’ve Won! Five Ways to Celebrate and Share Your Success

Making the Most of Your Win – Part 1: Celebrate and Share

On Friday 30th October 2026, we celebrated ten years of The Women’s Awards with a day of inspiration, reflection and, of course, the presentation of this year’s awards. To every one of our winners: congratulations. Your award recognises the difference you make, and it deserves to be celebrated.

But an award is more than a moment on stage. Used well, it can raise your profile, strengthen your relationships and open doors for years to come. In this two-part series, we share ten ways to make the most of your win. We begin with the first and most joyful step: celebrating and sharing your success.

1. Share your news, proudly and promptly

The days just after the ceremony are when your news has the most energy behind it. Post about your win on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook while the celebrations are still fresh. Say what the award means to you, who you are sharing it with and why the work behind it matters.

Tag The Women’s Awards so we can share and amplify your post, and use the official event photographs once they are released. A genuine, heartfelt post will always land better than a polished one.

2. Update your profiles and signature

Your award is a lasting mark of recognition, so let it work for you every day. Add “Winner, The Women’s Awards 2026 – [Category]” to your LinkedIn headline or About section, your email signature, your website biography and your CV.

It is a small change that quietly tells everyone you meet that your contribution has been independently recognised.

3. Tell your local media

Local newspapers, radio stations and community magazines are always looking for positive stories about people in their area. A short press release with your photograph, your award category and a few words about what winning means to you can reach thousands of people. Keep it brief, include your contact details, and send it while the news is current. If it would help, get in touch and we will be happy to provide a supporting quote

4. Spread the word within your organisation and networks

Let your employer, colleagues, clients, professional bodies and community groups know about your win. Many organisations love to feature achievements like yours in newsletters, on intranets, in annual reports and on social media.

Your success reflects well on everyone who works alongside you, and sharing it helps to build a culture where women’s contributions are seen and valued.

5. Thank the people who helped you get here

Behind every winner is a nominator who saw something special, and often a team, mentors, friends and family who made the journey possible. Take a moment to thank them personally.

A handwritten note, a phone call or a public thank-you post means a great deal. Gratitude strengthens the relationships that will carry you into your next chapter.

Coming next…

Celebrating your win is only the beginning. In Part 2, we look at how to build on your recognition: using it to open doors, embracing new opportunities, lifting other women as you rise, and keeping your story alive long after the applause.

Congratulations once again to all our 2026 winners. We are so proud of you.
